Tourism

Make the most of your stay in our hotel to discover all the charms of Lyon and its surroundings.
The third largest city in France with just under 500,000 inhabitants, the capital of the ‘Gones’, a nickname for the inhabitants of Lyon, is not lacking in tourist attractions.
Visits and discoveries in Lyon
Wander around the streets of Lyon city centre (situated around 10 kilometres from the hotel) and enjoy its distinctive atmosphere.
Discover especially the famous Place Bellecour, the largest pedestrian square in Europe.
Also discover Lyon’s Old Town, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and enjoy its streets full of history.
There you will discover numerous architectural treasures, such as the Saint-Jean Cathedral or the Pink Tower.
In the Croix-Rousse district, you can admire the typical ‘canut’ furnished architecture, ‘canuts’ being former Lyon silk weavers.
Lyon also houses numerous museums.
Whether you love art, architecture or history, you’re bound to find what you’re looking for!
Among the must-see sites, we recommend the Museum of the Beaux-Arts, the Musée Lumière, the Museum of Textiles, the Gallo-Roman Museum of Lyon-Fourvière or the Musée des Confluences.
Leap into the past with a visit to the Amphitheatre of the Three Gauls.
This site, built in 19AD, has been listed as a Historical Monument since 1961.
Near to the hotel can also be found the Parc de la Tête d'Or.
This urban park is one of the largest in France.
Open since 1857, it offers numerous shows and activities throughout the year (performances, carousels, mini-karting, pony-riding...).
Worth visiting for a moment of fun or relaxation as a family or among friends.
Activities in Lyon
Like every respectable city, Lyon offers a multitude of activities to tourists stopping by.
Eager to get some exercise?
Swimming, go-karting, tennis...
Dedicate yourself to the sporting activity of your choice!
For golfers, an 18-hole course is only a few kilometres away from the hotel.
Do you like quirky activities and are not claustrophobic?
Then go to the Closed Escape Game and throw yourself into a new adventure!
Locked into a room, you and your friends have 60 minutes to solve the puzzles and get out!
A unique experience which has already charmed many people.
Situated right next to the hotel, don't hesitate to go to Eurexpo park, an exhibition and convention centre which hosts numerous shows and fairs throughout the year.
Beauty, motoring, agriculture...
It encompasses all sectors!
If you just want a walk or bicycle ride, head to the riverbanks of the former Gallic capital and enjoy the diverse atmosphere there.
A story about Lyon
Vieux Lyon, the Old Town, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as we wrote above, barely escaped total destruction!
At the start of the 1960s, Louis Pradel, Mayor of the city, considered demolishing the district to allow a motorway slip road into the heart of the city centre.
But some ‘defenders of memory’ such as André Malraux, opposed the project and Louis Pradel ended up abandoning it.
Don't hesitate to ask for more information about Lyon and its surroundings at our hotel reception, we will happily advise you!
